PC Show (12 - 15 Jun 08) & My New Toy!

Nothing much today in office except for the second day of my 2 courses. Andrew came to tell me today is the start of PC Show at Suntec City & told me to go flip the newspapers. Flipped through the newspapers, nothing much duh. Saw this page introducing the now in the trend mini laptops! Hmmm.. was very tempted to get the HP mini note but not sure how much is it. Went to surf HP's webbie, cost less than 1K (AJ: the home & home-office model)! Asked Andrew if he will be going for the PC show today.. he said can ar~ reminded him to call me when he is leaving for PC show after work & at the same time, got to know that AP will be going for the PC show too with her friend.

Looking at the clock ticking slowly, 1730 hrs finally came... noticed Andrew standing outside his cubicle 'signalling' to me to go off! *LOL* Asked AP if she wants to leave with us for the PC Show, she asked "how are we going?" Told her if she wants to come along... "of course take cab la!" hahaha... At the same time, realised that CL is also heading to Suntec City, so the 4 of us shared cab (AJ: cab fare - $4 per person).

Arrived at Suntec City, CL went separate way to find his girlfriend. AP, Andrew & myself took the escalator up to the halls. We walked & walked.. it was sooo packed~ & best is we do not have any idea in mind what we want to get! =P So we just walked around aimlessly. While walking around, the thought in me to get a card reader that has the ability to read M2 card. Looked at one booth, the card reader that reads M2 costs $16.90 (AJ: almost wanted to buy & Andrew say walk around first la) & I put it back. We continued walking for some time, AP's friend called & she went to meet her friend & accompany her to exchange a LCD monitor because there are alot of scratches by the frame! Andrew & I continued walking & looking around. Saw this card reader, costs only $10 & the design + color is nicer than the first one & ended up I bought 2 (AJ: 1 for Mao & 1 for myself), luckily didn't buy from the first booth.

2030 hrs - Met up with AP & friend, Hui Jing... Andrew left & went home for dinner. The 3 of us continued walking around.. AP & friend wanted to get digital camera for themselves & we went to Canon booth to take a look. They wanted to get an IXUS, I asked them if they are confirm buying & yes was the answer. Hence, I thought to myself... "ok lo~ since you girls are getting, I'm also getting but SONY!~ *wink* 2 of them heard me saying Sony, suddenly have second thoughts & we decided to visit Sony's booth to take a look (AJ: don't need to look la... for sure I'll be getting Sony). There were 3 models I'm looking at, I was browsing & testing & can't decide which one to get. When I finally decided on the model, AP & HJ 'disappeared' (AJ: they went back to Canon's booth because PC Show closes at 2100 hrs *LOL*). Luckily they went back to Canon else they'll have to come back another day to buy! Both of them ended up with Canon IXUS at around $600 + (AJ: think they bought the same model) & I bought Sony Cybershot T70 at $499 (AJ: always wanted to get a newer version of digital camera yet ended up getting lappy & camera handphone last year) not sure if I bought it on impulse? =P

We left PC Show at about 2140 hrs, walked to the carpark & ride in HJ's car for dinner. We decided to settle for dinner at HK Cafe at 378 East Coast Road (AJ: Operating hrs - 6 pm to 3 am).
